TCWF Conference on the Health and Well-being of Transition-Age Youth

TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS

LODGING
TCWF’s Conference on the Health and Well-being of Transition-Age Youth will be held at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Live. The hotel is located at 900 West Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90015. Please note that all rooms at the JW Marriott are non-smoking. Community Partners will make the hotel reservations for participants traveling from outside the Los Angeles area. Please indicate your request for overnight accommodation on the registration form. TCWF will cover the cost of one-night's stay at the JW Marriott for qualifying participants. TRANSPORTATION
Air Travel
Participants traveling by air can fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or Burbank Airport (BUR).

Ground transportation to the hotel from Los Angeles International Airport or Burbank Airport is available via a variety of companies. LAX is approximately a 30-minute drive to the JW Marriott Los Angeles, depending on traffic conditions. Travel to the hotel from Burbank Airport is approximately a 30 minute drive. Community Partners encourages carpooling and will be happy to help coordiante rideshare opportunities for participants not arriving via air. For those interested, please use the online registration to note your travel origin.

Parking
Validated parking at the JW Marriott is available for conference attendees.

TCWF TRAVEL STIPENDS
Travel stipends are available to defray the cost of travel to and from Los Angeles. Stipends will be awarded based on the number of requests received and the amount of funds allocated in the budget. Depending on the number of stipend applications received, stipends may not cover the full cost of travel expenses. Stipends will be provided on a reimbursement basis to those who attend the conference; original receipts will be required.

Please note that, as the conference will provide food at the evening networking reception and breakfast and lunch on the day of the conference, meal and drink costs are not a reimbursable expense.

Mileage will be reimbursed to those driving from outside of the area at the rate of 50¢ per mile.

Participants traveling by air should make their flight reservations as soon as possible to secure the lowest possible airfare.

Following the conference, please submit a Travel Reimbursement Request Form along with original receipts. Requests must be received no later than Friday, November 5, 2010.
