TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS

LODGING
TCWF’s 2011 Conference on Healthy Aging will be held at the Westin San Francisco Airport. The hotel is located at 1 Old Bayshore Highway, Millbrae, CA 94030. Please note that all rooms at the Westin San Francisco Airport are non-smoking. Community Partners will make the hotel reservation for participants traveling from outside the San Francisco area. Please indicate your request for overnight accommodation on the registration form. TCWF will cover the cost of one-night's stay at the Westin San Francisco Airport hotel for qualifying participants. TRANSPORTATION
Air Travel
Participants traveling by air can fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO) or Oakland Airport (OAK).

From San Francisco Airport (SFO), a courtesy shuttle will drop you at the Westin San Francisco Airport hotel. The hotel courtesy shuttles are located at the Hotel Courtesy Shuttle zones on the center island of the Departures/Ticketing Level roadway at all terminals. Phones to contact the hotels are available in the shelters at each zone. Shuttles run 24 hours a day and depart approximately every 20 minutes. SFO is a 5-minute drive to the Westin San Francisco Airport hotel.

From Oakland Airport (OAK), the subway, known as BART, will take you to San Francisco International Airport (SFO). From SFO, a courtesy shuttle will drop you at the Westin San Francisco Airport hotel. The hotel courtesy shuttles are located at the Hotel Courtesy Shuttle zones on the center island of the Departures/Ticketing Level roadway at all terminals. Phones to contact the hotels are available in the shelters at each zone. Shuttles run 24 hours a day and depart approximately every 20 minutes. Travel to the hotel from Oakland Airport is approximately a 45-minute drive.

Public Transportation

Community Partners encourages carpooling and will be happy to help coordinate rideshare opportunities for participants not arriving via air. For those interested, please use the online registration form to note your travel origin.

Parking
Parking at the Westin San Francisco Airport hotel is available and will complimentary for conference attendees.

TCWF TRAVEL STIPENDS
Travel stipends are available to defray the cost of travel to and from San Francisco
. Stipends will be awarded based on the number of requests received and the amount of funds allocated in the budget. Depending on the number of stipend applications received, stipends may not cover the full cost of travel expenses. Stipends will be provided on a reimbursement basis to those who attend the conference; original receipts will be required.

Please note that, as the conference will provide food at the evening networking reception and breakfast and lunch on the day of the conference, meal and drink costs are not a reimbursable expense.

Mileage will be reimbursed to those driving from outside of the area at the rate of 51¢ per mile.

Participants traveling by air should make their flight reservations as soon as possible to secure the lowest possible airfare.

Following the conference, please submit a Travel Reimbursement Request Form along with original receipts. Requests must be received no later than Friday, February 25, 2011.
