TCWF Conference on Work and Health

HOTEL
TCWF's 2010 Conference on Work and Health will be held at the Marriott Los Angeles Downtown. The hotel is located at 333 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, California 90071. Community Partners will make the hotel reservation for participants traveling from outside the Los Angeles area. Please indicate your request for overnight accommodation on the registration form. TCWF will cover the cost of one-night's stay at the Marriott for qualifying participants. TRANSPORTATION
Air Travel
Participants traveling by air can fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or Burbank Airport (BUR).

The LAX FlyAway bus offers convenient regularly scheduled service to/from LAX and Union Station for only $7 cash each way. At Union Station, take the Metro Red Line to 7th/Metro (the third stop along the Red Line). The hotel is located 4 blocks northwest of the stop at 4th/Figueroa Street.

Additional ground transportation to the hotel from LAX or BUR is available via a variety of companies. LAX is approximately a 25-40 minute drive, depending on traffic conditions. Travel to the hotel from BUR is approximately a 20-30 minute drive. For more information, please check these links:

Community Partners encourages carpooling and will be happy to help coordinate rideshare opportunities for participants not arriving via air. For those interested, please use the online registration form to note your travel origin.

Parking
Validated parking
at the Marriott is available for conference attendees.

TRAVEL STIPENDS
Travel stipends are available to defray the cost of travel to and from Los Angeles. Depending on the number of stipend applications received, stipends may not cover the full cost of travel. Stipends will be provided on a reimbursement basis to those who attend the conference; original receipts will be required.

Please note that, as the conference will provide food at the evening networking reception and breakfast and lunch on the days of the conference, meal and drink costs are not a reimbursable expense.

Mileage will be reimbursed to those driving from outside of the area at a rate of 55¢ per mile.

Participants traveling by air should make their flight reservations as soon as possible to secure the lowest possible airfare.

Following the conference, please submit a Travel Reimbursement Form along with original receipts. Requests must be received no later than Friday, May 21.
