AmeriCorps, a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service, engages individuals in one or two years of service in nonprofit, charitable, and faith or community-based organizations across the country to meet needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.

Seeking to engage young people in service and service-learning, SERVEnet, a program of Youth Service America, provides volunteer management and planning resources as well as a searchable index of volunteer listings throughout the country.
