Kaiser HEAL Zones Learning Community

LODGING
For grantees traveling more than 30 miles to the Center for Healthy Communities, hotel accommodations will be offered. Guest will stay at the nearby Omni Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. For more information about the hotel and its location, please check the hotel’s website at: www.omnihotels.com/LosAngeles. Please note that all rooms at the Omni Hotel are non-smoking.

NOTE: Kaiser Permanente personnel will need to have their hotel accommodations covered by their KP departments should they choose to stay. Full payment will be due at checkout.

Community Partners will make the hotel reservation for participants traveling more than 30 miles to the event. Please indicate your request for overnight accommodation on the registration form. Community Partners will cover the cost of one-night's stay at The Omni Hotel for qualifying participants (two-night stay for those attending Media Communications Workshop). STIPENDS
Travel stipends will not be available through Kaiser Permanente or Community Partners for this Learning Community. Travel transportation costs are expected to be covered through the HEAL Zone grant.

Please note that the Learning Community will provide breakfast and lunch on both days and dinner for everyone who registers for dinner on Thursday, January 19, 2012.

Whether you are staying at the hotel or coming in just for the Learning Community, Amtrak offers a good alternative to driving. Amtrak stops at Union Station, just 2 blocks from the Center for Healthy Communities.

For those staying overnight, the Omni Hotel offers a car service to pick you up. Just call the Omni Hotel at (213) 617-3300, and ask for the car service.

Parking
